David Cookson from Rainsford Timber Merchants near Ormskirk already had a 2015, L5, 350, 5200mm Transit drop side, but after 335k he thought it time to trade in and stay under the onerous 3500kg GVM operating licence legislation.
As a timber merchant payload is equally as important as reliability and body length. Therefore, the one stop shop double drop sides and tail board were removed to optimise payload and create a 5.2mtr flatbed truck. Plus, the new more economical 130ps diesel Euro 6, justified the decision from an environmental and financial perspective, together with a fair part exchange allowance.
We hope to see David in another 8 years / 335,000 miles for his next truck!
