Mobility Campers

Roy Wood Transits heritage includes Motability accreditation and decades of experience working with individuals to optimise wheelchair accessible vehicles.

It’s no surprise to note Auto Campers utilise an M1 tested tracked wheelchair floor for the Day Van & MRV in combination with removable fold flat reclining seats and an innovative rear removeable multi height bed system allowing wheelchair and occupants to travel safely, secured by approved restraints.

Every customer’s needs are individual, the compact design of our Campers make them practical for daily use, days out, independent convenience and so much more.

Subject to meeting HMRC notice 701/7 VAT reliefs for disabled people and us completing a permanent and substantial conversion providing wheelchair access, it may be possible for us to zero the VAT.

Access systems can be a fixed manually operated gas strut assisted internal bi-fold ramp, alternatives could be electro-hydraulic rear internal passenger tail lift or a passenger cassette lift under the vehicle that deploys to the side of the vehicle.

How wheelchair occupants transfer and if they need to travel in their wheelchair are important elements, for those who can transfer once in the vehicle, we can supply powered 2nd row chairs that rotate out of the side sliding door and lower to enable transfer from chair to wheelchair. Alternatively a powered six way seat to enable transfer from 2nd row to either passenger or drivers cab seat.

Our Wheelchair accessible Campers provide independent travel with on board toilet, a basic kitchen and multi height bed subject to compatibility with access system.
