What is Chapter 8 and its regulations?
Chapter 8 compliant vehicles require a specific livery. Most commonly used are the reflective red and yellow chevrons on the rear of the vehicle. Depending on the vehicles application other livery is required in the form of reflective graphics on the front and side of the vehicle.
While Chapter 8 is not legislation, it is considered as the minimum requirement to provide a good standard of practice. By not following these requirements, you could face legal action if an incident happens on a public highway involving your vehicle.
